Next year’s race schedule for Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is
shaping up to be the best season ever for motorcycle race fans
with organizers announcing today that the eni FIM Superbike World
Championship will be joining the MotoGP World Championship on the
2013 calendar. World Superbike will take place September 27-29,
2013 and is the series’ only U.S. appearance.
World Superbike competes in 12 countries with 14 races, fielding
a typical grid of two dozen skilled international riders on six
competitive manufacturer brands. Each round has two races and the
results of each race are combined to determine two annual World
Championships, one for riders and one for manufacturers.

Returning to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, the FIM Superbike World
Championship features riders, teams and manufacturers (Aprilia,
BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki) racing high-performance
bikes very similar to the ones right off the showroom floor.
There is plenty of nail-biting racing to enjoy with two races
during the weekend.
Race fans eager to see FIM World Superbike return to the Monterey

commence this week at the legendary Daytona International
