Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix – Daily Update July 19, 2012
Be a Part of the Day of Stars
Official Charity of MotoGP™ Offers Fans a Day to Remember
There is still time for fans to purchase a ticket to one of the coolest experiences any MotoGP™ enthusiast will ever have at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca: the Day of Stars.
Limited to only 50 participants, the Day of Stars on July 26 includes a VIP breakfast at the race track, motorcycle tour of Carmel Valley, lunch with the legendary Randy Mamola, guided tour of the pit lane and garages, motorcycle laps on the track and a meet-and-greet session with team managers and MotoGP™ riders.
Various motorcycle racing icons here for the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix July 27-29, including Valentino Rossi, Nicky Hayden, Colin Edwards, Wayne Rainey and Kenny Roberts, have stopped by to chat with Day of Stars guests in the past.
Tickets are $500, of which $375 is a tax-deductible donation to Riders for Health, which manages and maintains vehicles used in the delivery of health care and other vital services to rural communities in Africa.
Fans that may not have a whole day available to participate are invited to the Turn 4 Hospitality tent at 4 p.m. Thursday for the Day of Stars Auction, a memorable free admission fundraising event open to the general public. For two hours, MotoGP™ riders visit to sign and auction off riding gear, photographs, t-shirts, books and other memorabilia to raise funds for Riders for Health.
Be sure to check in and stay tuned as the MotoGP™ buzz continues to build on the Monterey Peninsula.
