JaguarRSR’s first race in the American Le Mans was at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca this past October. The team will return in May for the circuit’s season opener, the American Le Mans Series Monterey presented by Patrón, May 21-23. This event will be the last appearance for the team before it travels to the prestigious Le Mans 24 Hours in June.

“We are delighted the Automobile Club de L’Ouest has granted us entry in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. It is a race that is held dearly in the hearts of motorsport fans across the world and for Jaguar to be racing again is something special,” Paul Gentilozzi, Driver and Principal Partner, JaguarRSR commented. “We are fortunate to bring an international line up of the world’s finest driving talent including Scott Pruett and Marc Goossens as our pilots for this race.”

“The Le Mans 24 Hour is the oldest sports car event in endurance racing,” said Gill Campbell, CEO/general manager for Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. “Our newly expanded six-hour America Le Mans Series race will be a perfect ramp-up for the JaguarRSR team.”

The year 2010 marks 75 years of the Jaguar name on both road and race cars. As a continuation of this great heritage, Jaguar will return to the famed Le Mans 24 Hours. With a total of seven wins at this classic French endurance race, Jaguar is the single most successful British make in the event’s history.
