Call For Entries – Dancing With the Cars
Looking for 2010 Pre-Grid Race Entertainment
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is looking for a group of talented entertainers with an combination of dance and musical skills to perform at the world-renowned race track as part of the pre-race entertainment for the 2010 season. It is the perfect opportunity for performers who like being in front of thousands of people, screeching jets and revving engines.
The official track record for Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca of 1 minute, 07.722 seconds is held by Helio Castroneves who won the 2008 Dancing with the Stars contest and proved that those in motorsports can dance and entertain outside of a race car.
The top three dance groups selected by the judges will perform at the major event race weekends during the 2010 season. The highlight is the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix, which is the No. 1 attended motorsports event in California; the event is broadcast live on FOX television nationally and shown in 191 countries around the world. The pre-grid entertainment is a 20 minute show and in the past the race track has featured Brazilian Samba dancers and other live music/dance shows for the fans.
To qualify the dance groups must represent Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in a professional manner and have the talent and ability to perform live in front of thousands of people. To enter, applicants must send a one-to-two minute video clip on DVD of their routine to the Mazda Raceway Dancing with the Cars Judges, Mazda Raceway, P.O. Box 2078, Monterey, CA 93942.
