Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca has had a long standing partnership with The Patrón Spirits Company, including Tequila Patron’s involvement since 2008 as the presenting sponsor for the American Le Mans Series Monterey.

Today, the American Le Mans Series and The Patrón Spirits Company took it one step further as the Series announced a multi-year agreement for Tequila Patrón to become the Series presenting sponsor of the world’s premier sports car series.

“In an era when many [motor]sports organizations have seen reductions, sometimes significant, in corporate partner involvement, it is extremely gratifying to have a prestigious company and brand like Patrón invest so heavily in our future,” said Scott Atherton, American Le Mans Series President and CEO.

“At Patrón, everything we do and everything we stand for is guided by the principle of ‘perfection.’ To that end, Patrón and the American Le Mans Series are an ideal combination – the world’s highest-quality tequila partnered with the premiere series in motorsports,” said Matt Carroll, chief marketing officer at Patrón Spirits.

Patrón is the title sponsor for the reigning American Le Mans Series LMP1 champion Highcroft Racing team. The team is racing with drivers David Brabham, Simon Pagenaud and Marino Franchitti and will return for the circuit’s season opener, the American Le Mans Series Monterey presented by Patrón, May 21-23.

“It is partners such as Patrón that add an additional element of entertainment for our fans,” said Gill Campbell, CEO/general manager of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. “Patrón is creating a fan environment that truly embraces the event as a whole.”
