Intern – Sales

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Sales Intern is responsible in assisting and supporting the Sales Team’s efforts to meet and exceed revenue goals.  In addition, this individual will need to coordinate, communicate and process all Sales related correspondence, contracts and any other pertinent reports.

Executive Director of Corporate Development

POSITION TERM:

Full-Time, Unpaid

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Interest in a career in motorsports and/or event planning 
  • Hospitality, Events and/or Customer Service Background
  • Excellent written and verbal skills 
  • Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel a must 
  • Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Well organized with an eye for detail
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time in an efficient manner
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Available to work overtime and weekends
  • Professional Dress attire required

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in daily business responsibilities – research, sales orders, client services, contract execution and support
  • Research prospective leads and hand off to sales team
  • Phone contacts to augment the efforts of the sales staff as needed
  • Work closely with marketing and promotions to develop new sales portals and opportunities for potential and existing clients
  • Work closely with operations and ticketing departments to ensure we meet all deadlines
  • Work closely with accounting department to ensure all invoices are paid in a timely manner
  • Processing sales data, sales progress reports, sponsorship entitlement and other sales related records and reports
  • Implement purchase orders and invoices under the direction of Management
  • Other duties as assigned 

Job Requirements:

  • High school graduate, marketing and communications experience a plus, 3rd or 4th year college student preferred
  • Demonstrate proficiency composing written and oral communications
  • Able to communicate clearly, comprehensively with complete personal and professional integrity
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities, including heavy lifting and other manual labor type activities
  • Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient and detail oriented
  • Proficient in such computer skills as: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Power Point
  • Must be professional in appearance and manner
  • Must be able to work in a TEAM atmosphere to achieve department and company goals
