The following is a statement from Michael Smith, president of the board of governors for the Sports Car Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula (SCRAMP), regarding a partnership between SCRAMP and International Speedway Corporation (ISC):

SCRAMP has reached an agreement with International Speedway Corporation (“ISC”) to work jointly on a response to Monterey County’s Request for Proposal process for long-term concession management of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. ISC’s national scale and financial expertise combined with SCRAMP’s operational knowledge and many local charitable relationships create a unique synergy providing for the facility’s long-term stability. We believe strongly that together we can position Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca for success in today’s competitive racing environment.

SCRAMP appreciates the outpouring of local, fan and sponsor support over the past months.  We look forward to working with everyone in the coming months.
