The Yamaha Factory Racing Team completed the first test of the 2012 season at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. Riders Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies spent the three track days working to develop the base set up of the 1000cc YZR-M1 ahead of the second Sepang test in one month’s time.
The distinctive pitch of Ferrari V12 engines will be reverberating through the hills of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca May 20-22 for Ferrari Racing Days. The three-day event features some of the rarest and most sought-after models ever constructed by the Italian automaker.

Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca’s popular monthly bicycle rides that are enjoyed by hundreds of local riders each month return in 2012 with the added pedal power of Rabobank, which becomes the presenting sponsor.

For nearly two decades the Sports Car Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula (SCRAMP) has offered special services for its disabled spectators designed for ease of accessibility. For these efforts the Monterey County Commission on Disabilities recently awarded the organization special recognition.

Today, Porsche Cars North America took the veils off of the official Rennsport Reunion IV artwork that will symbolize the world’s greatest gathering of historic and contemporary Porsche race cars and their drivers October 14 to 16, 2011.
Because this year’s event will feature as a special highlight the decades-long success story of the 911 race cars the poster depicts two of the most exciting protagonists, the 1981 factory 935 long tail in Martini colors and Al Holbert’s 911 RSR from 1974.
An unprecedented gathering of Porsche historic and modern race cars from around the world, and many of the famous drivers who piloted them to victory, will descend on Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca for three days of racing, story-telling and camaraderie at the Porsche Rennsport Reunion IV on October 14-16, 2011.
Sponsored by Porsche Cars North America, the weekend will be punctuated by on-track racing, an open paddock for visitors to get up close to the cars and talk to their owners, and a variety of other activities that celebrate the legendary history of Porsche.
The first major event on the international motorsports calendar will take place this weekend when GRAND-AM Road Racing rings in the new year with the “Roar Before the Rolex 24,” a three-day test featuring a star-studded lineup at Daytona International Speedway.
Picking up where he left off last year, Scott Pruett ran the fastest laps Friday at Daytona International Speedway to lead the opening day of the “Roar Before the Rolex 24″ in the car that dominated last year’s Daytona Prototype championship.
