The Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear today made the first in an upcoming series of major announcements with the release of the series’ 10-weekend, 11-race schedule (with one TBA) for the 2011 season; included are fiveIndyCar weekends, two with American Le Mans, one with USAC and one where Star Mazda will race a double-header as the co-feature. Former Yamaha worldwide President Mr. T. Kajikawa was presented a specially commissioned painting today to commemorate his years of service during a brief stop at the headquarters of Yamaha U.S. in Cypress California.
The special painting features Valentino Rossi at the top of the famous corkscrew at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca during the inaugural MotoGP event at the facility in 2005.
