Arguably the greatest all-around racing driver of his time and a true icon of the motor racing world, Sir Stirling Moss will be the honored guest at the Picnic in the Park at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion on Saturday, August 16. Historian Murray Smith will conduct the always engaging noontime session in the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca marketplace where fans may bring their lunch, listen to stories and ask questions. The Saturday-only picnic is a popular activity that allows fans to engage with a driving legend.
CEO and General Manager of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Gill Campbell has received the second of three prestigious honors for her work in the community and the impact that Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca has throughout the Monterey Bay community.
On February 27 Campbell received the Businesswoman of the Year award from the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce at its 93rd annual awards luncheon. Attended by more than 550 area leaders, Campbell accepted the award on behalf of all the volunteers, board members and staff who “make me look good,” she said.
Thunder will be reverberating among the Monterey hillsides as two fan-favorite groups—historic Trans-Am cars from the pony war era of 1966-1972 and the powerful 1963-1974 Can-Am cars—compete at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion August 14-17, 2014.
Adrenaline junkies, novice cyclists and competitive riders alike will want to make note of the 2014 dates of the monthly Twilight Cycling rides, presented by Rabobank at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
Twilight Cycling evenings are open to all ages and levels of cyclists. All riders are welcome to experience the thrill of pedaling on the 11-turn, 2.238-mile world famous race track that is normally reserved for motorcycles and race cars.
