The Daytona Prototype (DP) category has revolutionized sports car racing with ample battles at the front of the field and close finishes in practically every race. Like the DP class that has redefined prototype racing, the GT class has done the same for high-performance, production-based sports car racing.
Motorcycle racing fans will again gather on the scenic Monterey Peninsula for the Red Bull United States Grand Prix, featuring Round 10 of the MotoGP World Championship, which returns to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca July 27-29, 2012.
MotoGP is the world’s premier motorcycling championship, with a 2012 season of 18 Grand Prix race weekends in 13 countries bringing together the world’s top motorcycle manufacturers like Yamaha, Honda and Ducati – plus an elite list of riders from every corner of the globe.
The distinctive pitch of Ferrari V12 engines will be reverberating through the hills of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca May 20-22 for Ferrari Racing Days. The three-day event features some of the rarest and most sought-after models ever constructed by the Italian automaker.
From historic Grand Prix race cars and the rare 860-horsepower FXX supercars to 458 Challenge and near modern-day Formula One cars that rev as high as 17,000 rpm, the weekend will be an automobile enthusiasts’ delight to see the renowned cars that made Ferrari one of world’s most iconic companies.
The collection of more than 550 historic vehicles gathered in the race paddock will be complemented by the broadest range of activities ever experienced in the Yamaha Marketplace at the annual Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion Aug. 19-21.
Today, Porsche Cars North America took the veils off of the official Rennsport Reunion IV artwork that will symbolize the world’s greatest gathering of historic and contemporary Porsche race cars and their drivers October 14 to 16, 2011.
Because this year’s event will feature as a special highlight the decades-long success story of the 911 race cars the poster depicts two of the most exciting protagonists, the 1981 factory 935 long tail in Martini colors and Al Holbert’s 911 RSR from 1974.
An unprecedented gathering of Porsche historic and modern race cars from around the world, and many of the famous drivers who piloted them to victory, will descend on Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca for three days of racing, story-telling and camaraderie at the Porsche Rennsport Reunion IV on October 14-16, 2011.

Picking up where he left off last year, Scott Pruett ran the fastest laps Friday at Daytona International Speedway to lead the opening day of the “Roar Before the Rolex 24″ in the car that dominated last year’s Daytona Prototype championship.
