SCCA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP RUNOFFS
What: The SCCA National Championship Runoffs is the end-of-year championship race for the Sports Car Club of America Club Racing’s amateur competitors. Divisional champions and other top drivers from the SCCA’s 115 regions are invited to participate at the Runoffs, which consist of practice, qualifying and three days of racing, Friday through Sunday. National Championships are awarded to the winners of each class in a winner-take-all, single race format.
The inaugural Aston Martin Motorsports Festival brings together owners, racers and enthusiasts of one of the legendary English brands – Aston Martin.
Bringing added thrills to the festival is the Aston Martin GT4 Challenge of North America. This is a seven-event, 14-race, multi-round series that competes on some of the finest road courses in North America with entrants set to race the Vantage GT4 race car – derived from Aston Martin’s V8 Vantage road car.
Ferrari Racing Days return to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca with three full days of racing with the Ferrari 458 Challenge along with historic Formula 1 cars and Corse Clienti programs. The Ferrari Challenge series allows Ferrari owners the opportunity to compete wheel-to-wheel while providing Ferrari enthusiasts the chance to watch the Prancing Horse run in their natural environment – the race track.
The sounds of motorcycles will again roar through the central California hillsides as the eni FIM Superbike World Championship returns to Monterey July 11-13, 2014 for its only U.S. appearance.
Last year, World Superbike competed in 11 countries with 14 races, fielding a typical grid of two dozen skilled international riders on six competitive manufacturer brands. Each round has two races and the results of each race are combined to determine two annual World Championships, one for riders and one for manufacturers.
The tradition of memorable sports car racing will continue at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in 2014 with the addition of America’s all-new premier sports car racing series: The TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.
This entirely new series created by the merger between the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series and the American Le Mans Series retains the very popular format of races within a race, providing plenty of on-track action and constant passing.
What: Described as a museum springing to life, the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is a cornerstone of the Monterey Peninsula’s Classic Car Week. Approximately 550 vehicles are invited to compete in the world’s premier motoring event, and are accepted based on the car’s authenticity, race provenance and period correctness.

Boasting the largest spectator attendance of any race held at Mazda Raceway, the Red Bull United States Grand Prix, featuring the MotoGP World Championship, returns to Monterey for its eighth consecutive year. MotoGP is the world’s premier motorcycling championship, with a season of 18 Grand Prix race weekends in 13 countries bringing together the world’s top motorcycle manufacturers like Yamaha, Honda and Ducati – along with an elite list of riders from every corner of the globe.
