Described as a museum springing to life, the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is the largest event held during the famed Monterey Classic Car Week, and is the only event where cars are doing what they were originally intended to do…race. Approximately 550 race cars are invited to compete in the world’s premier motoring event, and are accepted based on the car’s authenticity, race provenance and period correctness.
The eni FIM Superbike World Championship, GEICO Motorcycle U.S. Round features riders, teams and manufacturers racing high-performance bikes very similar to the ones right off the showroom floor.
There is plenty of nail-biting racing to enjoy with two races during the weekend. This is the one chance to see these international riders, as it is the series’ only visit to the United States. Approximately 25 riders line up on the starting grid, making for an entertaining field and hard-fought battle for the lead at every turn.

The TUDOR United SportsCar Championship is America’s premier road racing series and is entering its second season with ferocity and international driving stars. For fans, the racing is non-stop as there are two styles of cars competing: Prototype and GT (Grand Touring). Each style also has two classes, Pro and Pro-Am for a race within a race.
Hosted by PCNA, Rennsport Reunion V will, once again, bring together an extraordinary gathering of significant Porsche vintage and current race cars, as well those who have designed, engineered, and driven them to victory in the world’s most famous sports car races. The three-day program of on-track competition will be complemented by a Concours d’Elegance, which is open to invited race participants, and special activities celebrating each of the six decades of legendary Porsche race cars.
The Monterey Pre-Reunion provides guests with the chance to see more than 300 race cars competing prior to the following weekend’s big Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. The paddock is bustling and the racing action intense as these historic cars, some of which are fully restored while others carry the patina of yesteryear, run in their respective race groups according to era, engine size and car type.

The sounds of motorcycles will again roar through the central California hillsides as the eni FIM Superbike World Championship returns to Monterey July 11-13, 2014 for its only U.S. appearance.
“When World Superbike returned to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca this season we agreed to a three year contract,” says Gill Campbell, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca CEO/general manager. “We were very pleased with the first year and look forward to building upon its success.”

This entirely new series created by the merger between the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series and the American Le Mans Series retains the very popular format of races within a race, providing plenty of on-track action and constant passing.
