After a successful inaugural season the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship announced that it will return to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca next year for a May 1-3, 2015 race weekend.
“Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is one of the finest road tracks in the world,” says Gill Campbell, CEO/general manager. “A perfect venue for the return of the TUDOR Championship. Credit is truly due to the hard working volunteers who put on our events and the loyal fans who continue to support sports car racing in America.”
As it had for three days prior, an early morning marine layer gave way to brilliant sunshine for Sunday’s final rounds of racing at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, illuminating the “museum in motion” that has become a cornerstone of Monterey’s annual Classic Car Week.
Whether it’s the sight of rarely seen cars challenging the tricky Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca road course or the chances to meet legendary drivers, the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is the place to be August 14, 15, 16 and 17.

A beautiful 1934 Alfa Romeo Tipo B that Tazio Nuvolari won the 1935 German Grand Prix is racing this weekend. The car is spectacularly maintained and will be up against formidable competition in the pre-war group.

The heart of historic downtown Monterey will be transformed into an outdoor motorsports museum when historic race cars line Alvarado Street between 5 and 7 p.m. on Friday, August 8 when Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca kicks of the 2014 Monterey Classic Car Week activities.
The iconic Sunbeam Tiger turns 50 years old this year, and one of its highlights will be a large number of these nimble two-seaters racing in the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion this week.
Before there was the Sunbeam Tiger, there was the Sunbeam Alpine, which was introduced in 1959. It was an attractive two-seat convertible that was equipped with a 1494cc, four-cylinder engine. It was an adequate road car, but suffered from under-acceleration compared to other racing sports cars from MG and Triumph.
The official 100th anniversary celebration of Maserati shifts into high gear during the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca beginning Friday, August 15 with a tribute to Italy and continuing through Sunday, August 17.
