In preparing for next weekend’s Aston Martin Motorsports Festival it has become apparent that there will be a limited race schedule.
As a customer of events at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, and as an act of good faith, we will not charge for admission to the event. Customers who have already purchased tickets to the event will receive a refund for your entire Aston Martin event purchase. We are still encouraging you to attend the event, and to bring along some friends.
We look forward to seeing you at future events at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
The Aston Martin Motorsports Festival is the next event coming up at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, and it’s coming on fast. Don’t miss the chance to hear the roar of Aston Martins as they carve up the race track August 30 and 31.
What: The inaugural Aston Martin Motorsports Festival brings together owners, racers and enthusiasts of one of the legendary English brands – Aston Martin.
Bringing added thrills to the festival is the Aston Martin GT4 Challenge of North America. This is a seven-event, 14-race, multi-round series that competes on some of the finest road courses in North America with entrants set to race the Vantage GT4 race car – derived from Aston Martin’s V8 Vantage road car.
The annual awards ceremony presents prizes for individual achievement on and off the track. It is generally not who crosses the finish line first, but rather awarding participants who share in the spirit of the weekend.
The heart of historic downtown Monterey will be transformed into an outdoor motorsports museum when historic race cars line Alvarado Street between 5 and 7 p.m. on Friday, August 8 when Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca kicks of the 2014 Monterey Classic Car Week activities.
The iconic Sunbeam Tiger turns 50 years old this year, and one of its highlights will be a large number of these nimble two-seaters racing in the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion this week.
Before there was the Sunbeam Tiger, there was the Sunbeam Alpine, which was introduced in 1959. It was an attractive two-seat convertible that was equipped with a 1494cc, four-cylinder engine. It was an adequate road car, but suffered from under-acceleration compared to other racing sports cars from MG and Triumph.
