The Naval Postgraduate School Cycling Club will be hosting the Twilight Cycling ride at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on Wednesday, October 16 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
The cost is $10 per rider and all riders must have a helmet. The Twilight Rides are informal and the 2.238-mile track will be open to all levels of cyclists. There will also be a seven-lap circuit race, as well as a gravity race from the top of the Corkscrew.
The second qualifying session lived up to expectations as the WSBK riders did their best to finish inside the top 15, to guarantee themselves a spot for tomorrow morning’s Tissot-Superpole. Despite the temperature dropping considerably throughout the 1-hour session, lap-times significantly improved as the leading two riders were even able to break into the 1’23s barrier.
