Boasting the largest spectator attendance of any race held at Mazda Raceway, the Red Bull United States Grand Prix, featuring the MotoGP World Championship, returns to Monterey for its ninth consecutive year.
The Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix is three-days of adrenalin rushes and heart-pounding racing as the world’s best motorcycle riders challenge one of the most technically-demanding race tracks on the international 18-race MotoGP schedule. MotoGP features multinational riders onboard complex prototype machines.
Three Americans, Colin Edwards, Ben Spies and former World Champion Nicky Hayden will wave the stars and stripes while going against popular international riders like nine-time World Champion Valentino Rossi and reigning World Champion Jorge Lorenzo.

GRAND-AM’s top-tier Rolex Sports Car Series has established itself as one of the most competitive professional road racing championship in North America. For 2013, the Rolex Series expands to a three-class format, allowing the entrance of new cars and technologies in the newly formed “GX” class.
The Daytona Prototype category that was launched as the series’ flagship class in 2003 has attracted the attention of superstar drivers and universally recognized teams through its extremely raceable and relatively affordable format. The DP class moved into a new phase in 2012 with the introduction of the third generation prototype.
Like the DP class that has redefined prototype sports car racing, the GT class has done the same for high-performance, production-based sports car racing. With an eye toward the cost-containment and close competition, the GT category provides a stable battleground for the world’s top automobile manufacturers. Famed European automobile builders Ferrari and Audi entered the division in 2012 with new cars built specifically for the Rolex Series. The production-based GX class was added to feature cars and technologies not currently involved in the Rolex Series.
Rules are being developed to allow for the exploration of a wide variety of alternative technologies and alternative fuels. This could include turbocharged engines; fuels other than gasoline, such as clean diesels; and hybrid powertrains.
The GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, featuring straight-from-the-showroom American muscle cars and the hottest imports, is also back in 2013 for its 13th season of competition under the GRAND-AM umbrella. The Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge routinely features some of the largest fields anywhere in the world.

Ferrari Racing Days return to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca with three full days of racing with the Ferrari 458 Challenge along with historic Formula 1 cars and Corse Clienti programs. The Ferrari Challenge series allows Ferrari owners the opportunity to compete wheel-to-wheel while providing Ferrari enthusiasts the chance to watch the Prancing Horse run in their natural environment – the race track.
