Raceway’s Monthly Ride Includes Grand Am Series Drivers
Race car drivers will take to the track early – on bicycles – to kick-off the Continental Tire Sports Car Festival, Powered by Mazda. Some may be using this as an opportunity to test out the 2.238-mile course on two wheels before they speed it up a bit on four.
You’ve seen them strolling through the race paddock. Maybe even had photos taken with them. These are the young ladies frequently seen nearby team transporters or strolling through the race paddock in team colors and umbrellas. Paddock Girls, Grid Girls or Umbrella Girls attract attention for the team everywhere they go.
For the Porsche Rennsport Reunion IV taking place at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in October, it’s both the men and machines that are expected to draw one of the largest crowds in track history. And, if early sign-ups are any indication, both elements will not disappoint.
